Age Requirements Tee Ball is the beginner league for baseball and you can start your child as early as 5 years old. In Tee Ball, players hit the ball off of a batting Tee. It is your child's first experience with baseball and the primary goal is fun. Rules and the structure of this game may vary to accommodate the need for teaching. Non-Competitive Setting:
It is a non-competitive
setting that will begin to teach your child the fundamentals of
baseball. For example, the players will learn such things as how
to run the bases, infield/outfield positions, infielders throw to first
and outfielders throw to second. They will learn, develop and
practice skills as well as enhance their eye/hand coordination. In
addition, they will begin to experience the value of team work.
Eligibility: Any candidate who will be 5 years old before April 30 and who will not be 9 years old before May 1 of the current year is eligible for Tee Ball.
You
must provide your child with a glove. You should check with your
coach or local sporting goods store to determine the size that your
child needs. Athletic shoes required. A
water bottle is needed. Cap is not required but may be preferred.
These items can be purchased at any sporting foods store, Wal-Mart, or Target. A uniform, normally consisting of a tee shirt,
